On this trip we visited only the north (we already knew the south).
We went through the mountains (border of La Balsa) from Ecuador.
Peru is a country worth visiting for its history, archeology, its landscapes. We had been in 2005 in the south, visiting the most tourist and the feeling that we left is that its people were unfriendly, too introverted, unreliable.
Our perception of Peru has changed dramatically. In this northern region, people are more friendly and less prevented. There are archaeological sites incredible marvels.
Essentials: The Temple of the Moon and the tomb of the Lord of Sipan.
Important to save: Take International Student Card (ISIC). Substantial discount (50%) in most archaeological sites.
