CHINA. Modernity in Shanghai

After two nights in sleeper train (new and air conditioned), we China's coast, near Shanghai. On the highway, there is no human presence a mile, everything is populated with many ships and factories, but not those big, ugly, with fireplaces, but with wooded environments, with good organization as always.

But there is a different China, the city dwellers, with similar trends to those anywhere in the global world. Many more cars, luxury.

We miss the rural hinterland, with their different customs, another way of living. So this part we are not calling much attention. There are two tourist places,  Hangzhou and Suzhou , with many lakes and canals. But after what we've come this does not thrill.

SHANGHAI.

The hypermodern metropolis of China, Shanghai is another world, nothing to do with Beijing and with other major cities visited. But s and is looking more and more a giant city in the world either, with the homogeneity that creates the endless shopping malls, the ubiquitous global brands.
Although we have seen many galactic skyscrapers in big cities of China, Shanghai is another thing, always breaking records. I mpresionantes planning projects, creating miles of new city, a sweep unchecked from poor neighborhoods with its people. Fortunately, there are still narrow streets in hanging clothes and food on the street within walking distance of shopping streets, a different China. But so is China today. Everything changed in months.

Yesterday we visited the house where he held the first congress in 1921 PC, free and visited by many Chinese groups. And today is surrounded by a neighborhood of small houses constructed with pedestrian streets, terraces on the western luxury and more luxury shops, restaurants, nothing is missing. If Mao raise his head ... ? Laugh or cry ... or would go to eat at fancy restaurant on the corner?.
We ran the two-month tour of China. It happened very fast, very intense and varied all that we have come, seen and learned. We felt very comfortable in this country and almost everything was a pleasant surprise.

Definitely, the tiger is not as it looks and we encourage everyone to come, if you have the opportunity to discover that at least meets Beijing alone concentrate from China and many wonders.
