IQUITOS (Peru)

 

After being in Leticia and Manaus, Iquitos we can say that we thought was the most authentic, with more character. It is also the cheapest city.

 

-          Hotel : Samantha. 22 soles. Kitchen.

-          Transportation :

-          Lima - Iquitos: Airplane. Peruvian Airlines. $ 100. (Sometimes i + v cheaper from 80 $). 1.30h.

-          Iquitos - Santa Rosa (Leticia): boat. 60 soles. 36 h. Meals included.

-          Iquitos mototaxi: 2 soles.

-          Iquitos small small (boat): 2 soles.

-          Iquitos bus: 1 sol.

-          Views :

-          Ports. Plaza. Malecón. Bethlehem market.

-          Barrio Florido: community, riverside.

-          Quistacocha (km 6.5) Zoo and beach. Entrance: 3 soles.

-          Food : Juanes (tamales), tacacho (plantain balls), fish wrapped similar prices ... ... put on the streets. Faning Street Restaurant / Lords (similar to market price but nice).

-          Landscape : hot and humid climate.

-          Recommendations :

-          Getting there: can also be reached by boat from Pucallpa or Yurimaguas. To get there, many hours of bus and boat days. Analyze price bus + plane and boat to compare and decide.

-          Purchase of beds: Belen market along streets where the Chinese. From 21 soles. At the port, similar prices.

LETICIA (COLOMBIA)

MANAUS (Brazil)

-          Urban Bus: 2.25 Reais, Sunday 1.10 Reais.

-          Meeting of the waters: Boat: Ceasa bus to Porto. You take the raft (car ferry) free. 1h.

-          Visits

-          Opera: 10 Reais. We pay the same with opera.

-          Meeting of the waters.

-          Public Museum (Palacio Black River ...).

PRESIDENTE FIGUEIREDO

-          Hotel: das Piedras. 45 Reais with good Breakfast.

-          Transportation:

-          Presidente Figueiredo-Boa Vista: night bus. 11 h. 90 Reais. Departure 8:00 p.m.

-          Visits

-          Cachoeira das Orquideas (park), cave, tourist park.

BOA VISTA

-          Hotel: Lua Nova. 30 Reais. Basic.

-          Transportation:

-          Boa Vista-Venezuela Border: 12 Reais. 3h30. Departure 12am. Miscellaneous.

-          Urban Bus: 2 Reais, Lotaçao (shared taxi) 2.5 Reais.
